Photo by Kharen Hill Sarah McLachlan is my all-time favorite artist that I listen to over and over, along with Loreena McKennitt . I discovered Sarah's early albums while browsing through the racks at a CD store years ago, and bought Solace and Touch. With the release of her album Fumbling Towards Ecstasy Sarah gained world-wide fame and well-deserved recognition. She used that fame and her savvy business sense to organize the first all-female national concert tour, Lilith Fair, which has run with overwhelming success 3 summers in a row, despite what all the record industry pundits said would be a total failure.

I've been lucky enough to see Sarah twice in concert and once at a signing session at Border's Books & Music in Farmington Hills, MI. when she was supporting the Lilith Fair tour.

Sarah's website is www.sarahmclachlan.com, which has lots and lots of good info, her biography, more photos, and sound clips, although the web interface leaves a bit to be desired. Two songs of Sarah's from the Fumbling Toward Ecstasy album that really show off her wonderful voice are Good Enough and Mary. Sarah's site also has higher-quality Liquid Audio samples (instead of MP3's) which are available when you choose any album from the discography list on her page.
