I have two all-time favorite artists that I listen to over and over - Loreena McKennitt and Sarah McLachlan. I first heard Loreena on our local NPR radio station, WDET-FM Detroit, with her 11 minute song The Lady of Shalott, which became Loreena's signature song. In the 10 or so years since then she has soarded to world-wide popularity with her unique style, ethereal soprano voice, her wondrous songwriting skills, and her unique talent playing such diverse instruments as the celtic harp, hurdy-gurdy and keyboards.

I've seen her twice in concert, once in 1995 in her home base of Stratford, Ontario, for the mask and mirror  tour, and then in 1998 in Chicago for the book of secrets  tour.

There are many many web sites devoted to Loreena with tons of photos, news articles, interviews, etc, but the best source of info for Loreena is Quinlan Road Online, her official website. Fabrizio Fiorucci's webring site on Loreena is a great starting point to see all her fan pages. Loreena has recently added CD-quality MP3 audio clips of all of her songs from all her albums at the Sounds page on her site. Take a listen to her signature song The Lady of Shalott and a song that really showcases her incredible voice, Bonny Portmore.

Here is the list of her full-length album releases over the years. Check out her website for more details and information.
